Ajahn Mudito

Born in a remote village in northern Finland, Ajahn Mudito’s journey has taken him from Europe to Australia, where he ordained as a Buddhist monk in the Theravāda forest tradition.

He first encountered Ajahn Brahm while living in New York and later travelled to Australia, where he ordained at Bodhinyana Monastery in 2012. He has since spent many years living and practising in Australian forest monasteries, while also contributing his practical skills to the building of monasteries and meditation centres.

Ajahn Mudito is known for his warm, humorous and down-to-earth way of sharing the Dhamma, making the teachings accessible and relevant to everyday life. He is currently residing at Bodhinyana Monastery near Perth, Western Australia, and regularly travels to Europe to teach.
