Our Values.

1. Early Buddhism. The Buddha taught an down-to-earth and timeless practice through oral teachings, which we approach through the early Buddhist texts. The central teachings include The Three Jewels, The Four Noble Truths, and The Noble Eightfold Path.

2. Equal opportunities for monks and nuns. Everyone, regardless of background or gender, should have the opportunity to ordain and practise on equal terms, as in the time of the Buddha.

3. Inclusivity. Everyone is welcome, regardless of religious affiliation or tradition, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

4. Volunteering. All work within the association is based on the Buddhist principle of dāna (Pali), meaning to give without expecting anything in return. Practising generosity in this way can cultivate humility and deepen our contentment within as well as greater grattitude, both towards ourselves and in our relationships with others.
