
Ajahn Hāsapañña
Ajahn Hasapanna was born in Ipoh, Malaysia, in 1960. Inspired by the Thai Forest Tradition and the monastic way of life, she entered monastic training at Dhammasara Nuns Monastery in 2002. She later received full bhikkhunī ordination in 2009, with Ayya Tathaaloka as her preceptor.
Today, Ajahn Hasapanna serves as the abbess of Dhammasara Nuns Monastery and as Assistant Spiritual Director of Buddhist Society of Western Australia. She is widely respected for her warm, practical teaching style and her dedication to training nuns and sharing the Dhamma with both monastic and lay communities.
