Where and when you can practise.
We are still a small society and run only a handful of events of our own. We are also part of a living network, and this calendar points to what we think matters most, online or within reasonable travel.
Dates and venues are as published by the organisers at the time we last updated the page. Always follow the link to the official details.

The four major days in the Buddhist calendar follow the lunar cycle. We list them here so you know the dates, whether you want to mark them at home or join online somewhere in the network.
- 3 March 2026: Māgha Pūjā. Commemorates the spontaneous gathering of 1,250 enlightened monks at which the Buddha recited the Ovāda Pāṭimokkha. (Already passed this year.)
- 31 May 2026: Vesak / Visākha Pūjā. The single most important Buddhist day of the year: the Buddha's birth, awakening, and parinibbāna are all marked on the same day.
- 29 July 2026: Āsaḷha Pūjā. Marks the Buddha's first sermon on the Four Noble Truths. The day after begins vassa, the three-month rains-retreat of intensive monastic practice.
- 26 October 2026: Pavāraṇā, the end of vassa. Within the month that follows, monasteries worldwide hold Kathina, when lay supporters formally offer new robes to the monks and nuns.
